- A zero mem length should be treated like free
- The case of using memalign was not covered. There doesn't appear to be
an alignment preserving realloc(), but you should be able to pass the
result of memalign() to realloc (I think), so I think that mean that
we have to try realloc(), and the call memalign and copy if the result
isn't aligned properly.

an abuse of git. I think it is not justified to ever have anything in next for more than a few weeks at most.
Either take it out of next if it is broken or put it in master if it is not broken. Hanging around in next but
not master for ever is not a good policy.
